Check out my NaNo page though (starting November 1 there will be action on there)

Also you can find me on Facebook which is all I really use anymore anyway :).

Wow...

I filled this out almost a year ago.... so I may as well give it another go... plus now I am kinda in contact with some of John's friends so I was thinking this would give them a better idea of who this new girl is :)...

01. Your name plus "lyn"
Elizabethlyn.... Lizzylyn? Bethlyn? Radlyn?

02. Two feelings at the moment?
Sleepy and excited

03. What are you listening to right now?
"The Hills" on MTV (yes, trashy reality TV is a guilty pleasure)

04. A part of a song lyric that's in your mind?
"Staring at the blank page before you, open up the dirty window, release your inhibitions..."

10. Your three plans for tomorrow?
7:30-9:30 meeting, running errands (including hopefully getting a couch for my new apartment I move into on FRIDAY!), work 12-6, babysit at work (getting paid 14 bucks an hour for the 2 hours they need me to watch kids at a meeting!).

11. Are you thinking of someone right now?
Not really...

12. Are you single?
Short answer: yes. Long answer: I got dumped almost a month ago by my first boyfriend (we started dating in January- and he was my first kiss). It was his decision, but I respected it, and my life has gotten better since we broke up. Just so much drama and stress.... I don't need all of that weighing on me when there are more positive influences I can have surrounding my life.

13. Say something to the person who posted this.
I posted this... so... uhh... Hey, me... make sure you set your alarm for 6 am and don't oversleep....

14. What do you want?
To be moved into my apartment safely and smoothly, and to find a decent couch for a good price.

15. Say anything you like to who ever is reading your answers.
My mom showed me a red leaf she found in our yard today, meaning fall is coming! That makes me happy....

16. Are you feeling hungry?
I just had some pasta with butter, parmesan, and peas. So no...

17. Who do you miss right now?
My niece in New York. My brother in Iraq. The sense that I could actually trust my intuition.

18. Last friend you talked to online?
Matt. About Homestar Runner.

19. What do you like about last night?
I talked to John after reading Chapter 3 of his new book (which was great!), and I liked that I got so much packing done.

20. If you visit a farm, what would you like to see?
The hayloft where I could play hide and seek.

21. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An artist and a mom. Delusions of grandeur, mayhaps...

22. Last gift?
I don't know...my friends were amazing during the breakup, providing Frostys and frappucinos to cheer me up :). I am easily bought...

23. Did you like it?
Heck yes!!

24. Do you play an instrument?
I play guitar. I used to play violin. I have mad skillz at the tambourine and kazoo, too.

25. What song did you last hear?
Some song from Kellie Coffey's newest CD which I am reviewing for dailyvault.com

26. Person you hate most?
I don't hate people... though when I get someone who hangs up on me at work because we don't give books away for free to "old people with no money" and all we do is "push them aside when they don't have money" it gets really frustrating. Seriously-- would you go to Barnes and Nobles and be all "I'm broke- give me this free."??

27. Who makes you laugh the most?
So many people... Ashley, I think...

28. What makes you smile?
Sleeping in. Hot fudge sundaes. Getting sweet compliments. Watching trashy reality TV. "The Office." Rainy days when I feel like curling up and just doing nothing. The feeling of accomplishment. Being loved.

29. Who do YOU have a crush on?
Haha... for maybe the first time in my life... no one! Don't get me wrong- there are some AMAZING guys in my life who I care about and respect, but no obsessions as being burned makes me gun shy...

Last night

32. What were you doing this morning at 8 a.m?
Sleeping, thank God...

33. What were you doing 15 minutes ago?

Oh, gosh.. I am, but budgeting with an apartment will be interesting...

36. Have you ever taken out a loan to pay for school?
Yes... 4 years at a Christian college will require some loans...

37. Do you know the words to the song on your Myspace profile?
Yes, and its a favorite song of mine!

38. Last thing received on your email?
Some junk mail... and a Facebook alert that someone had posted on my wall

39. How many different beverages have you drank today?
Oh gosh... diet coke plus, diet pepsi, water...uhh... that's all... I was tired, so caffeine carried me through!

40. Do you ever leave messages on people's answering machines?
Yeah, but I hate leaving messages. I always feel like I sound like such an idiot...

Black

For a long time now I've had this bottle of black nail polish that I wanted to use but never had the guts to go for. I mean, it's nail polish, so there's really no risk involved, right? But something so rebellious as this made me pause enough to wait before using it more than once.
There are so many instances in my life where I take the safe way out. I'm scared of getting hurt, of coming across the wrong way, of being seen as different than I actually am. Caution is good, but now I am seeing more and more that my caution is backfiring. By trying to protect people they lose respect for me and see me as the bad guy. My actions were completely meant to be helpful and kind, but they are seen as caustic and high faluting. Why is this? Can't people respect that I have their best interests at heart? That maybe the choices I make are for good and not evil? Perhaps I have some sense and am using it for once?
I used the nail polish tonight. It was a cathartic experience, in a way. I'm always going to be cautious, but I need to stop caring as much what others think. Apparently even when I do what I know is best for them, as a friend, I am still seen as the bad guy.
Gotta love that, huh?

Apparently I'm a gorgeous, quirky good hostess....

"Suzanne"

You scored 45%!

You are Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne." You are the girl everyone wants to be. Number one, Mr. Cohen refers over and over to your "perfect body," so that should make you feel good, right? You're also wise, trustworthy and thoughtful. Your fashion sense is endearingly quirky. You live by the water and watch the boats go by while you're lying in bed with your honey on a warm afternoon, then you serve tea and oranges that come all the way from China, which shows that you are a good hostess. "And you know that she's half crazy/But that's why you want to be there," says Mr. Cohen. See? You're crazy in a GOOD way. You're impulsive, slightly reckless, and never boring. Intelligent people will always be drawn to you because you see beauty in everything. If you're not in some kind of creative field, you should be.

This test tracked 1 variable. How the score compared to the other people's:
Higher than 53% on Personality

Wow. That's pretty dang awesome.

Why I am here...

So I have a Xanga. That I post on a couple of times a week. (http://www.xanga.com/lizziemae7). I also have a MySpace with the same screenname. That I use to see the blogs of the actors from my favorite TV show, The Office. So why do I have a Live Journal?
Wow... great question...
Cause I am a complete geek. And cause this is a great way to keep in touch with friends. That also have Xanga's and MySpace's....
Hmm...
Anyway, if anyone reads this and is so inclined, feel free to check out my Xanga (where I actually blog) and/or MySpace.
Not to mention the fact that I have a Facebook.
Dang... I guess I could put 'computer literate' on my resume, eh? ;)
